Lazio looking for 20 million to unlock transfer market

Lazio are seeking €20 million to unlock their transfer market, with the deadline set for June 28. While other Serie A teams operate freely, Lazio face certain restrictions.

Lazio continues its efforts to find €20 million to unlock the transfer market. The situation remains difficult as the team faces restrictions while other Serie A clubs operate freely. Last summer the club was left without active transfers, which, according to some fans, turned out to be a blessing, since there was no weakening of the squad. However, Lazio now needs the benefits of transfers to meet wage spending requirements.

A deadline of June 28 has been set for the club to submit the necessary funds to unlock the market. While there is a possibility that the issue could be resolved during the summer transfer window, the club's image is also important. Lazio is not the only club to face problems - other teams such as Como, Monza and Sassuolo have also received notices from the Commission. All three clubs have already found ways to fix their financial positions, including Como, who has allocated €110 million to operate the market without restrictions.

That amount was the reason for Lazio's market lock-up last year, with club president Claudio Lotito questioning whether it was worth investing in a club that didn't need capitalization. Currently, 19 of the 20 Serie A teams can operate in the market without restrictions, and the only club left with problems is Lazio.

Lazio must now use their market to unlock themselves, making sales that will not only free up the budget, but also reduce overall wages. Deals for the sale of players such as Provedel and Romagnoli are expected in the coming days. The club's market objectives are focused on financial performance rather than sporting needs, with last season's top scorer currently scoring just five league goals.
